Hey Besties👋🏾

The spooky season may have come and gone, but let's get into how I decorated my small porch to give you some inspiration! Even if your porch is on the smaller side, I've got tricks up my sleeves to help you add that holiday spirit into every nook and cranny. Let's dive into the elements that'll transform your small porch into a ghoulie masterpiece.

Wicked Welcome Mat: First things first, let's set the stage with a welcome mat that's wickedly inviting. Grab one decked out with eerie phrases, classic Halloween symbols, or maybe even a ghostly silhouette. A sassy welcome mat is your ticket to greeting trick-or-treaters in style and setting the tone for the ultimate spooktacular porch. I couldn't find a mat that coordinated with my desired color scheme, so I decided to o course DIY my own doormat. Check out how I created my DIY doormat here!

Pumpkin Patch Perfection: A Halloween porch isn't complete without some pumpkins. I recommend going for a mix of sizes and styles. Think mini pumpkins and throw in a couple of painted pumpkins for a splash of color. Arrange your pumpkins on the steps, in cute baskets, or on a pint-sized table for that festive touch. To decorate my porch, I used some Dollar Tree carveable pumpkins and Halloween pails. I painted them and added some faux florals to the pails to create a fun and festive atmosphere.

Creepy Crawlers and Cobwebs: Time to add a bit of spooky with some fake cobwebs and creepy-crawly creatures. Hang spiders from the ceiling, let cobwebs flow along the railings, and strategically place a couple of oversized spiders or bats in spots that'll catch folks off guard. These spooky elements will have your small porch oozing a bone-chilling vibe.

Skeletons in the Closet (or on the Door): Time to let the skeletons outta the closet! Hang a couple on your front door or porch railing to give off that vibe of unexpected guests. Pose them in ways that are more playful than your Halloween playlist or let 'em dangle for that bone-chilling effect. A couple of skeletons add a touch of macabre humor to your Halloween digs.

Halloween Wreath: Spruce up your front door with a wreath that screams Halloween vibes. Go for one with autumnal colors, spooky creatures, or maybe even a witch's hat. A well-crafted wreath will help tie the whole Halloween look together, giving your porch that extra bit of wow factor. Check out how I upcycled my Goodwill find into my very own DIY Halloween wreath!

Conclusion: Now that you're armed with the essentials, go wild next year with your Halloween decor for your small porch. From a DIY welcome mat to painted pumpkins, creepy crawlers and cobwebs, skeletons that know how to party, and a Halloween wreath that slays, your small porch is ready to capture the essence of the spookiest season. Happy creating, y'all!
