Recently on my Instagram page, I started this weekly DIY adventure called Thrifted Thursdays!!—where I show you how I upcycle and style my thrift store finds. We're up to episode 6, and I still can't believe it! It's been such a fun journey, and I love sharing all these creative projects with you.
But today, I want to take you back to episode 3 because it's one of my favorites. In this episode, I created a DIY prayer board that I think you'll love. It's not just about upcycling—it's about finding ways to encourage our faith and keep our prayers front and center.
I started with a simple cork bulletin board from the thrift store. It was plain and inexpensive, but I saw the potential to turn it into something meaningful. After a little cleaning, I added a few prayer cards with some of my favorite verses, like Matthew 7:7: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you." This verse is such a powerful reminder that our prayers are heard.
I used small white envelopes to place my prayers in and used decorative cardstock to create a label for each envelope. To give the prayer board a personal touch, I used decorative paper accents and added a couple of wooden faith word stickers for words of encouragement. You can add ribbons, stickers, or anything else that speaks to you—the possibilities are endless. The best part? It was all done with budget-friendly finds and a little creativity!
Once it was all set up, I found the perfect spot for it in my home, where I could see it every day. It's such a great way to stay focused and remember that we're not alone in our journeys.
